SoundScape park by west 8

I had been looking forward to walking through this park, since it was formerly an ugly parking lot that gave little to this busy area of Miami. SoundScape sits on the corner of Washington Ave and 17th street, acting as a front yard for The New World Symphony by Frank Gehry (which is quite a beautiful and modest building-surprise!). The urban garden also serves as an evening theatre where concerts are projected on the symphony’s giant front wall.  The Dutch firm designed a very green area filled with palm trees, walkways and pergolas that will eventually grow into the tree-like structures. My favorite- the benches lined with stones. Lovely!
