from cloister to family home

Some of my favorite projects are re-adaptations, restorations, and re-purposing of spaces for different needs. This residence in Barcelona is located in a late 19th century building which has an intervention by Antoni Gaudí. In addition the building is attached to a 500-year old cloister. Talk about a great place to start right?

Spanish design duo Minim did the lovely restoration, and were very respectful of the original structures and architectural elements. The blank canvas that the designers have created makes the architecture stand out very elegantly against the living spaces.
