in love: prada men’s f/w 2012

How I love the men’s runway. The 1920’s inspired diplomatic meeting room with the giant chandeliers and the opulent carpet all complement the super elegant “military elite” suits in dark tones. A hint of red here and there (merci Adrien Brody) and a few older faces for the models. Perfection!   Advertisements

o’mast: watch this

I had a genuine fit of joy when I saw this trailer, which was graciously tipped to us by a likable young fashion lover. I cannot wait to see the film (eeeeee!!!) Perhaps one of the only surviving clans of artist/tailors (because yes, they’re artists) these Neapolitan men should be cloned and sprinkled all over the world, … Continue reading

silk sunday

It’s been a lazy Sunday today, and I’ve fallen in love with these scarves by French brand milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre. The designs are so different, in some cases so strange and surreal. I love them! The best part is how lovely they look on the body.

à propos..

Speaking of men’s fashion… Marcello Mastroianni in 1964’s Matrimonio all’Italiana is pure perfection. I think you will agree that what he was wearing, (and oh, so well) almost 50 years ago remains entirely relevant, even down to the accessories. And of course the eternally beautiful Sofia Loren, I can’t get enough of these two. I … Continue reading

I love linen. And I love men who wear linen, and I wish it would be summer forever so it would stick around. This shoot was done for Fantastic Man (you should all check out this publication if you haven’t already – AND its new counterpart The Gentlewoman). It’s all a bit different to what … Continue reading

feeling like this

I’m feeling the colors, the sunshine, the metal, the objects. Via Jak & Jil

a treat from vogue italia

I recently  accessed a digital archive of Vogue Italia’s first issue from 1965. Love! I especially enjoy the ads for some of the brands that are still around today. And that last spread with Veruschka! Also, I a great mix of color and b&w spreads that gave the magazine a look that we rarely see in … Continue reading
